Eve helped me find the home I wanted not the home I would settle for
Eve and I looked at a number of homes and Eve was instrumental in pointing out things that would cost me a lot of money down the road, things that I would not have noticed as a first-time home shopper. Eve made it clear from the start that she wanted to help me find a home that would feel right and be the best fit for my living objectives. Because she got to know the kind of "vibe" I was looking for we were able to pass on homes that didn't check the right boxes, and all the while Eve assured me that eventually the right home would turn up, and eventually it did.
Eve's experience taught me a great deal about how to shop for a home and what to look for in terms of damage and how the previous owners treated a home. She has a natural knack for seeing advantages and potential you are looking for in a home as well as the flaws that are symptomatic of damages/flaws you won't want to pay for. For example there was one home where I was kind of on the fence about making an offer, but Eve pointed out the extensive damage to the chimney which would probably require complete reconstruction. The chimney flaws turned out to be a deal breaker and I ultimately passed on making an offer.
When I eventually found the house I wanted, Eve advised me on placing a strategic bid that "won" against several competing bids without going significantly above the initial asking price.
Eve's communication also made her a pleasure to work with. Messages were returned quickly, she arrived promptly for appointments, and alerted me when homes of interest came on the market. Efficiency through and through.
As a first-time home buyer I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and cooperation I received in working with Eve Fortenberry. Not only did she help me locate a home but she made the closing process seamless, efficient, and stress-free. I would highly recommend Eve to anyone shopping for a home in the Moscow-Pullman area.
