With us living in Texas, she worked tirelessly to ensure the home was ready - meeting with new appliance installers, painters, cleaners, and several contractors. She even did some minor improvements herself; all to ensure the home was "show ready". She analyzed the market and neighborhood and helped establish a fair price for the home. I felt overwhelmed -- almost to the point of paralysis -- at the beginning by the thousand-and-one details I knew had to be handled. She checked in with me, encouraged me, gave me reliable and affordable referrals for work I needed done, and always kept the big picture in front of me. She also helped me navigate the highs and lows of offers, counter-offers, the actual selling process, and I walked away with a great deal. (I give myself a little credit for following directions!)On the buying side, she continually reassured me that the perfect house would come along when I was finally in a position to move on it -- and so it did -- and she came up with a winning strategy in a competitive bidding situation (despite being out of town at a very intensive conference).
