After inheriting my childhood home the family was faced with cleaning it out and preparing it for sale. My wife and I removed some furnishings and garbage, but we did not have time to clean out everything. I initially contacted another realtor who provided an estimate of what she felt the property would sell for but I thought her estimate was low and that her market research was incomplete so I contacted Betty to get a second opinion. I knew Betty from Astronaut High School and I knew she was smart, outgoing, and trustworthy. Betty prepared a well researched CMA confirming that we potentially could realize over 20% more than the first realtor estimated. She also promised to help us get the property cleaned out and spruced up so that it would bring top dollar. We signed on with Betty and she exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. She immediately went to work getting the property clean ( no small effort) and ready to market. She managed the contractor we hired to replace the roof. When I saw the photos she had taken for the listing, I could hardly believe it was our house. We listed it at a price that Betty recommended and she scheduled an open house that weekend. Within a few days, we had multiple offers. Betty gave us great advice during the negotiation and we ended up with a contract over the listing price. Unfortunately the buyer lost her job just prior to closing but Betty never missed a beat and she recommended we raise the price another $10,000 based on the failed contract. Of course we agreed and it wasn't long before we had a second contract that again exceeded the listing price. Betty kept us well informed throughout the inspection and closing process. In the end, we realized an increase of over 26% more than the first realtor recommended we list at. Plus, Betty handled everything including donating much of what was left behind to needy charities. Given our experience, I would not think of using anyone else for a realtor in Brevard County.
As an agent myself, I can be picky about referring an agent, especially to my dad. Make no mistake, Betty is a one-stop-shop for anyone suggesting an agent in Brevard County, Florida. Professional, Effective and a good amount of “give-a-damn” thrown in for good measure. My story with Betty is short on actual time spent dealing with the selling of my dads condo, but long in the amount and real quality of work she put in to make sure my dads place was sold with minimal disruption to his life and maximum price negotiated.
