My focus on relationships is how I build my success. I find that investing in other people not only benefits them but is the most worthwhile way for me to spend my time. The more relationships I build, the more real estate opportunities come my way. My business flourishes by prioritizing relationship-building; and friendship becomes the building blocks for my success. With every successful venture come numerous challenges. The biggest challenge for me was the amount of money it cost to get my business up-and-running. It was easy to spend more and more, but I realized the loss in achieving high production levels- when a huge overhead remained. I overcame this challenge by creating a budget which insured my business would be profitable. The bottom line is so crucial. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how many homes you sell but how much money you have to take home.The aspect of my business in which I feel most confident is my RE/MAX affiliation. When I first became licensed, I searched for the best company in the marketplace to join, and RE/MAX quickly became the obvious choice. In life, I always had a taste for the best quality in everything-the best cars, the best clothes, and the best food. I certainly could not lower my standards for my business affiliation! And since, I have learned that RE/MAX is truly as good as it gets!As a RE/MAX agent and Broker-Owner, I know what drives my success. My accomplishments inspire me to achieve more and to set higher standards. This feeling of achievement motivates my entire business. Another inspiration is Michael Jordan, whose mindset for is basketball career: “If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” is how I approach my own career. I don’t give myself the option of failure – the thought of failure only excuses us from doing our best. Instead, I embrace the exaggerated outlook of “win or die.” After all, in our business, ‘achieving a win’ is what motivates us to win again and again.Basel is married to his wife, M.J., and has two children, a daughter Leila and a son Malec.
