I have been through several realtors on Maui, hitting bottom with incompetence a number of times. That cost me a lot on all levels. It took a ton of work to find Josh and his team at Hawaii Life. I am beyond grateful to find someone who is competent and professional and communicates well. In this challenging real estate climate, we had to work closely as the prices fell and the market kept softening. I always felt better after talking to Josh, and felt like we made a good team. Rich was willing to put in a lot of extra work for 6 months to help maintain the property after we addressed the severe neglect from six months in the hands of an abysmal Coldwell Banker realtor. He did everything I asked for, down to a quick and affordable replacement of a ceiling fan someone broke during escrow, many open houses, and even moving a large potted Areca palm since I have moved off island. I have been told by a number of people familiar with Maui real estate that there are a lot of people who try to be realtors and a few people who actually run a tight ship and do most of the business. Selling my first house ever, I was on a steep learning curve as I figured that out. I am very grateful to be able to move on to selling my STR with the team that brought me success on selling my home in Kihei. Josh is always behind us. That is a feeling my wife and I had when he helped us find our home on Maui. Finding a home is a very short version of a life journey. It goes up and down. We made an offer to a certain house but the offer did not go through. After visiting so many houses with Josh, we finally got the one. But it was not the end of the journey.
