Ana Forest is a truly amazing realtor – an ally in a process that is daunting and challenging. Because of her insights, resources, compassion, and overall support (as well as the insights of her husband Pascal, also a realtor) the house-buying process actually went a bit smoother than I had anticipated. While I’m a generally intelligent, organized and competent person, I am not literate in what to watch out for with contracts or with the structural elements in a home that might not be apparent. Ana (and Pascal) provided great explanations to my ever-growing list of questions, and she replied immediately to my emails, text messages and phone calls. (She generally answered the phone right away, or let me know when she could return my call if she was unable to answer at that moment.) When making an offer, she provided suggestions that, as it ends up, were key to acceptance of my offer. (I later learned about a higher bid, but my offer provided something that was meaningful to the seller.) During Escrow phase I again had my series of questions and needed to find resources for various projects and updates that would need to be completed rapidly. Ana and Pascal again “came to the rescue” with names of people who could provide quotes and hopefully be available to complete the work in the time after closing but before I would move in. After closing, I again had questions; thankfully (as they said) “We’re still here for you” which was comforting music to my ears. Since meeting Ana, I have sung praises to a few people who are considering either buying or selling. (or both) Whenever I am ready to sell and buy elsewhere I feel assured that I will have the best realtor(s) guiding me. I wish I could write a more eloquent review; I hope that this conveys my gratitude for her multi-faceted support.

Wow! Ana and Pascal are beacons of light in this crazy Bay Area real estate market. I had the odds stacked against me in purchasing my first home. I was born in the bay area and was looking at the reality of not being able to afford to purchase a home that met my ambitious requirements with my available resources. Working together as a team we were able to pull a rabbit-out-of-a-hat and I now am the proud owner of my dream home! A huge part of that was how they got to know me personally and what I was looking for in a home (definitely not your typical living situation). When we found the house (after only a couple months of looking), we put a reasonable offer in and the only other competition to my knowledge was an all-cash investor. As a perfectionist who values relationships, it's rare to find the particular combination of savvy, attention to detail, and personal warmth that makes doing business both fun and exceptionally effective. Ana and Pascal Forest have that combination down, and they complement each other beautifully. For years before I was their client I turned to them for advice about resources in our community; they always had multiple recommendations and were generous and unstinting with their time and good will. Based on that,I knew if I ever sold my home I would use them, and when the time came I wasn't disappointed. The time I chose to sell was at the just beginning of the pandemic! How to begin. We met with Ana and Pascal in late January to discuss potentially selling our home. We ended up doing an off market in early February at their suggestion. Throughout the whole process which lasted only 12 days until we accepted an offer, they were continuously responsive and our anxiety reducers. The attention to details, exceptionally clear communication, highest level of professionalism, and clearly customer oriented service was nothing we ever experienced before. Though they were our agents, they maintained a level of objectivity which is key since, as the sellers, since the emotions run rampage during the process and you need objective advice. Trust is a key word when it comes to home buying and selling; their clarity, market knowledge, and transparency created an immediate trusting relationship which proved invaluable throughout the process. They have extensive contacts for anything that needs to be done pre or post sale. They operate as a true team and do not spread themselves too thin, which in our case made us feel that we were the only customers in their lives at that time. So if you are buying or selling in the East Bay, they should be your only choice. BTW- they are super fun folks!!
