From beginning to end, Amy was top notch. She helped us buy our home and relocate from another state 2 hours away. Given our location, we had some marathon sessions looking at houses. She showed us at least 40 houses, and always maintained the fine balance between offering her opinion and allowing us to build our own -- she injected her expertise and industry knowledge into the equation, which we valued tremendously. She knows the area, and even more importantly, understands the market and the nuances of buying in Connecticut. We were always confident that she was not going to be wishy-washy with sellers agents (we had experienced that in the past with someone else, so it was important) and she would always tell us like it is. When it came time to negotiate the house we did purchase, Amy gave us great advice that got us a house we love at a price we were very comfortable with. If we ever buy another house, we will be calling Amy -- she is easy to reach, no-nonsense, great negotiator, and really fun to spend 6 hours a day looking at houses with!
I would give 6 stars if I could. Amy is very hard working and knows the market very well. She sold our house quickly listing our house everywhere and helped us with staging ideas for open houses. I was so impressed by her that years later I called on her for any info on realtors out of state. Her help led me to an awesome local agent for buying to our new house. I can't recommend her enough. Amy was such a wonderful realtor to have. We happened to stumble upon her when we asked to look at a house before getting a realtor of our own. Amy is super responsive and is very flexible in her hours and where she is able to meet. Amy is very real when it comes to the process and had tons of helpful information and referrals for other things we needed, even down to our homeowners insurance. From our first conversation she put my mind at ease, and was there to help out every step of the way. Amy is a Rock Star! Within two hours of her listing our home on Zillow, we were already booking showings. Amy spent the time necessary to capture on film the selling points unique to our home (i.e., alcove, built-ins, gardens) so prospective buyers would want to view it in person. Our first offer came within 24 hours of listing and the house sold in less than a week! We couldn't have asked for anything better. Moreover, Amy made all the other aspects of selling worry-free. She dealt with inspectors, lawyers, and tradesmen who needed to complete small projects before closing. Suffice it to say, she is highly respected by the people with whom she works. As a business owner, I frequently deal with other owners and professionals and these days it seems most people love to talk the talk, but rarely can they walk the walk. Amy is one of those rare exceptions. She recently helped my wife and I purchase a home, and it was soooo refreshing to find someone that could get us where we wanted to be, without having to learn the whole process myself.
