I was told that I didn't need a buyers agent when buying a brand new home, but I was referred to Amie by a good friend on a previous transaction and had such a good experience then, that I wanted her knowledge for this new purchase. The sales agent in the model said they could handle it all, but with Amie - we were able to negotiate tens of thousands of dollars in extras.. yes, I said tens of thousands. I never thought to ask the builder to: Finish the backyard, add a water softener, add newer lighting, add a fridge, blinds, extend the back concrete patio, pay for my closing costs and even get all the "builder incentives" that you can "only get" when you use their preferred lender, agent and title company - spoiler alert, YOU DONT HAVE TO! I was able to use my own lender and title company as well as proper representation by Amie - she found issues that I didn't, brought up concerns that needed to be addressed and made this transaction (in the words of the builder) "Christmas" they paid for EVERYTHING (the builder) and included it all in the recently reduced listing price. Ill never go it alone if buying another new home
