Alison Hurd is a phenomenal real estate agent. I cannot emphasize enough how outstanding she was from start to finish. She made what could have been a terribly nerve-wracking situation of moving to a new city to buy my first home stress-free. She spent hours working with me on two preliminary trips to Tucson educating me about the pros and cons of neighborhoods and the housing market even before I had decided to move to Arizona. She genuinely listened and learned what was important to me. On the night I arrived in Tucson for the third time to start my search, she sent me a listing that was perfect. The only problem was the house had just been listed and already had five offers. She devised a perfect negotiation strategy and in a little over twenty-four hours the house was mine. Alison was equally spectacular after the seller had accepted my offer. She had an army of quality inspectors (general, roof, plumbing, sewer line, HVAC, and termite) go over the house with a fine-tooth comb, and then negotiated price offsets to fix the problems they discovered. She also shepherded me through all the important things that go into buying a house in a new state. And if that was not above and beyond, she agreed to watch and feed the desert tortoise who lived in my new backyard until I could move to Arizona a month later.
