Five years after owning our first home, things had changed for us. We had moved to the east coast and managing a rental property on the left coast was no longer feasible for us. So we decided to sell and had no hesitation in picking Zander to be our selling agent. We started the process in February 2020 and Zander did a stellar job walking us through the process, detailing how he would market the property and what would be required from us. Given we were across the country, Zander and his team took care of every single detail, from staging to marketing to the open houses. Because of their well scaffolded marketing strategy, including online and offline marketing, gorgeous promotional pictures, and multiple agent previews, the open houses were a great success. This resulted in multiple strong offers. Zander’s skillful negotiating resulted in an accepted offer that was the highest price per square foot the building has ever seen. It’s at this juncture that the world literally stopped. The COVID-19 epidemic resulted in a shelter in place order in California, slowing or halting the essential work needed to get from escrow to close. Undeterred by the uncertainty, Zander pushed through, digging deep into his extensive knowledge of the SF legal, government, and real estate landscape to ensure the process kept moving forward. He communicated with us almost everyday, updating and supporting us through a very anxious time, with grace and just the right amount of humor. We don’t know how he did it, but we’re happy to report a successful close, at the original contracted amount. Had we gone with any other agent we could have lost the sale, and certainly would have lost our sanity in the process. We did not have getting a record setting price for our home during a global pandemic while living 3,000 miles away on our 2020 bingo card, but here we are. Zander we stan, but please no global pandemic next time?
