We first contacted Woody to be our Listing Agent when we began to search for a single-level alternative to our 3-story townhouse. We asked Woody, first of all, if he could accommodate us in waiting till we'd found just the right house before any showings of our townhouse. Woody, in his low-key, no-pressure way, explained his marketing system, which featured a period of advertising to build interest before an Open House, and we thought it sounded like a good plan. And just a few weeks before the Coronavirus outbreak shut down the state of California, we found the perfect house, and Woody launched his marketing plan, which resulted in 10 offers, including many for more than our asking price, on the day of the Open House. What's more, Woody negotiated for us a no-cost leaseback from the Buyers so that we could remain in the townhouse while making our new place habitable. As hinted above, the devastation and chaos created by the arrival of Covid-19 occurred just as our escrow was opened. Inspections needed to be done, repairs had to happen, unexpected crises needed to be fixed, and through it all, my wife and I felt completely supported by Woody's expertise, experience, and calm demeanor. I not only have enormous gratitude and respect for Woody, but I also gained respect for the profession Woody represents. This is my second review if Woody. The first was 4 years ago when I purchased my first home. Now this, my second, is a review of selling that same home. I will start by saying that Woody is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He will bend over backwards for you as a client whether selling or buying. He also can get tough if the situation requires it, like it did when selling my home. I wont bore you with details but my buyer was one for the books. We did eventually close and if I had any other agent I would have been beyond stressed but having Woody as my agent gave me a sense of calm.
