I purchased my first home in my 20’s, when I lived in Texas. It’s been a couple of decades but, who’s counting? I can still remember how I felt when I unlocked the front door of my new home for the first time. I remember thinking that I was doing what was known as the “American Dream” and that everyone should become a homeowner and experience all the benefits of owning your own space.
For the next few decades, I had a satisfying career with General Electric, professional speaking and training in corporations. As life evolves and our needs influence us, I felt the need to not travel so much & connect with a community after having visited every state in the US (at least 3 times) and over 8 foreign countries.
In 2008, I fell in love with RVA and decided to make it the community I wanted to connect with and serve. I paused for a minute and did a “think tank” on a career change that led me to become a realtor. This career transition fulfilled my desire to help everyone to have a slice of the “American Dream”.
I have been licensed to practice real estate in Virginia since 2016. I love the process of helping folks sell a home and find a new one. The real estate process is an inspiration for me every time. I love helping first time homebuyers overcome hurdles and be triumphant in getting their first home.
Over my years in real estate, I have helped newlyweds find their waterfront dream home, helped single dads and moms start the next chapter of their of lives in a new location with their children, helped new parents find a bigger home to grow with their families, and helped single folks and folks that have non-traditional relationships find a place to build their new memories.
The diversity that each transaction brings into my life is a gift: new people, new experiences, new knowledge, and new discoveries…all gifts! Real estate and all that it offers lets me go into each new transaction with more empowered skills to provide every client higher levels of customer service, ease of transaction, integrity and abilities to get them a home they love. Excellent realtor - she got my fiancée’s whole family moved in a month
Adeline was an excellent communicator and great source of knowledge, and her steady presence made the entire home buying process much less scary. She got my fiancée and I moved into our house with little friction, and also got the rest of my fiancée’s family (mother & sister and her husband) into their own homes quickly and easily on top of that. Three families into three separate homes in a little over a month!

Excellent partner in my purchase of home in Church Hill!
What I loved most about working with Richard is that he took the time to truly listen to me when I shared my wants and needs in a new home. He was guided only by my input, not what he thought would be right for me, like some other agents I have spoken with in the past. Richard was extremely attentive and responsive, and he provided great counsel in putting forward the best offer I could within my comfort zone - ultimately leading to an accepted offer during a highly competitive time for buyers. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an agent in the Richmond area.

Richard Halenda is the best!
I had the pleasure of working with Richard on 2 occasions—first buying a house and then selling that house and buying another. He was always available to go to showings (of which we went to many) at the last minute, and was constantly and diligently searching for the perfect house for us. When I sold my house, he walked me through the process and helped me to get the house on the market—that house sold on the same day as it was listed! Richard even went so far as to help me clean to get it ready for showing. I highly recommend him as a realtor, whether you are buying or selling.

From start to finish we had a wonderful and meaningful experience with Jessica not once but twice.
Jessica is a dedicated and very professional agent. We have sold 2 homes with her! She gives honest expectations and feedback. She helped us every step of the way not only with our sale but for any renovations and ideas. Both experiences had sentimental value and we of course wanted top value. Jessica compared all nearby sales and gave honest feedback, but continued to negotiate. She got our asking price!

High energy, knowledgeable, hard-working
Adeline was in communication with us from the initial visit before we even listed the property all the way through after the final closing was done. She was patient with us and answered all of our questions as well as giving us many helpful hints when we asked for them. She helped us to prepare the property for sale and we had an offer in less than 48 hours. I would highly recommend her as she worked hard for us every step of the way. She treated us like family.
