I've worked with Steve several times, but you learn about someone's character when your back is up against the wall. My wife and I, like many others, lost our home in the Palisades Fire. My wife was pregnant at the time and without going into every detail, I was lost, frightened and paralyzed by confusion. Steve, who was also personally suffering from the same tragedy, made it his responsibility to help take care of us. At a time when it made sense to be selfish and put yourself first, Steve carried us on his back. Because of Steve, we were able to bring our baby girl to a home from the hospital and I am forever grateful to him.
