After traveling throughout Africa, India, the Middle East, Europe, and Central America for 5 years, Janice Ciampa-Bauer, a native of Boston, arrived in Vail with dirt streets in 1976 and never left. Watching a sleepy ski town grow to its present stature, she was one of the early Real Estate pioneers in the area, actively selling Real Estate since 1978. Her linguistic skills in French, Spanish and very poor German, help with her many international clientele. Throughout her long Vail Real Estate career, Janice has achieved many honors and consistently ranks among the top producers within the Slifer team as well as at the top of the entire Vail Board of Realtors 700+ brokers, top 5% of all brokers in the Vail Valley and Top 1.5% of all brokers nationwide. She is a CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert), a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) and a VAIL PRO. Although she enjoys a wealth of repeat business and customer referrals, Janice has developed her niche as one of Vail's top producing Brokers -having sold a quarter billion dollars of Real Estate in the last dozen or so years. She works tirelessly to help her friends and clients achieve their real estate dreams. Janice lives in Lake Creek with her family and German Shepherds.

Pam Horan-Kates was born and raised in Simsbury, Connecticut, schooled in New York, and has been a resident of the Vail Valley since 1976. Her path to Vail started when she met John Kates, the Director of Marketing for then Vail Associates, in New York City. He invited her to visit the Vail Valley, and on her second visit, Pam realized that this was where she belonged. Her third visit involved a U Haul truck and shortly thereafter, a marriage to John, the new Vice President of Marketing for Vail Associates. Pam was the Executive Director of the Colorado Ski Museum/Ski Hall of Fame for 8 years before taking a break to care for Conor and Brooke, now aged 35 and 33. Pam joined Slifer & Company on Bridge Street in Vail in 1987, and moved to the Cordillera Sales Center in 1993. She has specialized in Beaver Creek, Vail and Cordillera since then, and is consistently among the top producers of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate. Pam lives with her husband John in Lake Creek, where John has retired as the founder and Chairman of the Board of the Vail Leadership Institute. He is the author of several books and articles on leadership, as well as on the history of the Vail Valley. Son Conor is employed in the field of computer technology with SalesForce.com in San Francisco, CA, and daughter Brooke joined Pam in her real estate practice in 2015.

Born and raised in South Dakota, Andy graduated summa cum laude from CU with honors in Political Science. Andy met his wife, Didi Doolittle, as she was literally the “girl next door” in their hometown, Sioux Falls. After living in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Georgia and Florida they moved to Edwards in 2005 and have never found a reason to leave the valley. They now reside in Eagle with their sons Waterson and Livingston. Andy joined Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate in 2015 and has had the opportunity to join the Beaver Creek Office at The Park Hyatt. Brooke Horan-Kates was born and raised in the Vail Valley. She attended Vail Christian High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Upon graduation, Brooke moved back to the Vail Valley where she met and married her husband JP, who is a Firefighter with the Denver Fire Department. Brooke joined Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate in 2015, and has since teamed up with Aaron Rabins, as well as her mother, Pam, who has been with the company for 35 years. Together they work out of the Beaver Creek office and Brooke also maintains her business throughout the Vail Valley. Pam, Brooke and Aaron have transformed traditional real estate by providing uncompromised value to their clients with an approach that combines their three different perspectives to create a unique synergy.
