Home sale Review
Nearly one year ago, my sister Julie and myself, took on the daunting task of needing to sell our mother's home. A friend of mom, Pat Ford, was on the short list of realtors my sister and myself would eventually select. Pat, which lives only several blocks north of our mom, would occasionally stop by to visit,, our mom at our mom's home and even attend church at the nearby North Mountain Baptist Church. Because of her friendly, amiable, and caring demeanor, my sister and myself chose Pat.
During this process, Pat remained loyal to her obligation to be there on call, even on weekends, or just to lend advice on how to attack a particular dilemma regarding what to clean, what to fix, what to leave alone, and more importantly, to provide moral support and encouragement to persevere.
When the home ultimately went on the market for showings for sale, Pat not only willingly, but even anxiously rose to the task at hand by being there for open house and scheduled tours for potential home buyers. Citing and highlighting a home's strengths can be an obvious challenge in selling a 62 year old home, but Pat's optimistic, tenacious spirit is an inherant attribute she willingly imparts onto perspective home buyers.
When the home came close to closing, Pat gave an orderly, guided process in assuring what steps to take in making the sale of the home as painless as possible. Even after the sale, Pat went to the new home buyer and offered information on a community block watch program on how to participate to help deter and diminish crime within the community.
In summary, both my sister and myself would be proud to recommend Pat as a most worthy individual in selling a home. As a realtor, she demonstrates a high level of knowledge, professionalism and confidence in her profession. As an individual, she represents an upstanding and outstanding level of character, integrity and nurtures a relational trust that is not easily achieved in today's world.
