My name is Brian and I settled in Southwest Colorado back at the turn of the century after growing up in the Midwest and graduating the University of New Mexico. I fell in love with the quality of life and ability to go from the mountains to the desert to major cities all in a matter of hours, and it is why I stay. I’m lucky enough to have been able to raise a daughter here and she will always be able to call this area home. The sense of community, the amazing people and endless outdoor opportunities make the 970 area code a world-class lifestyle. My real estate experience in the area covers just about every type of property and client you can imagine, having sold fractional ownership, rural land and homes, as well as several resort area properties to local buyers, 2nd homeowners, and investors. Brookelyn Peterson is a rare find in Southwest Colorado having grown up in Durango, and spending the majority of her life in Colorado. Prior to joining RE/MAX I have 18 years of Right-Of-Way and Real Estate Appraisal experience. Started out appraising homes and worked my way into commercial, farm & ranch and then specialty projects like conservation easement appraisals and consultations. I have worked in the planning, development and marketing analysis/feasibility of subdivisions, both commercial and residential projects. I have been working with the ReMax Pinnacle office sense 2015 full time as a broker. I have been in the top 25% of brokers every year sense 2016 in the Durango Area MLS. As a result of my appraisal experience I am very comfortable working on properties anyway here in SW Colorado and northern NM. I am an out door enthusiast and western lifestyle lover.
