About Stacey

I could not think of a more beautiful place to live than here in the High Country of North Carolina. I came to Ashe County with my family in 1998 and currently reside in the Fleetwood area with my wife Christina and our four children. I am an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Deep Gap and enjoy bowling and spending quality time with family. I began my real estate career in 2006 after working for 18 years in the printing industry. I became a real estate agent to fulfill my desire to assist folks who had dreams of owning a home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I am dedicated to each of my clients and am committed to serving their real estate needs. In addition to serving my clients through Mountainscape Realty, I am also the owner and manager of High Mountain Cabin Rentals. Growing up in nearby Winston Salem, I developed a natural love for the mountains and everything associated with mountain living. In 2019, after graduating from Western Carolina University, I moved north to the small mountain town of West Jefferson with my partner, Nick, and his family. While looking for our new home, I realized I had a passion for real estate and decided to focus my career on helping people find and purchase a mountain home of their own. My goal as an agent is to simplify the buying and selling process to allow my clients the freedom to focus on meeting their personal needs and goals. Being of a younger generation, my perspective on the unique needs and desires of new home buyers makes me well equipped to take on this growing demographic of buyers. With an ever-changing market and economy, each home buying process is as unique as the buyers themselves. I strive to provide personalized service and to exceed each of my clients' expectations. I am native of North Carolina, born in Greensboro and raised in Charlotte. I graduated High School at East Mecklenburg in Charlotte. Shortly thereafter, I then enlisted and served as a Voice Intercept Operator (Russian Linguist) in the United States Army. After leaving the Army, I returned to North Carolina to attend college at the University of North Carolina Charlotte where I received a degree in Political Science. I then decided to indulge my desire to travel and spent the next 17 years living abroad and seeing the world, I still have South America, Australia & Antarctica left to visit. In 2009, I returned back to North Carolina to begin a new career. I came to the mountains for the scenery, cooler weather, and less traffic. Although I myself was not born in the mountains I have family who have lived in the mountains of West Virginia and southern West Virginia, Giles County to be exact, so the mountains are in my genetic makeup. The decision to get into real estate was easy as my background in direct sales and customer interaction meshes well. It fits my mantra of improving people's lives and helping them achieve their dreams. I currently work with clients looking to buy and sell properties in Ashe, Avery, & Watauga counties but will also cover Allegheny and most of Wilkes as well. I specialize in assisting buyers to find and purchase their perfect property. I can also assist sellers in marketing and selling their properties. My hobbies are traveling, Crossfit, the arts (Opera, ballet & symphony etc), and anything that is outdoors and interesting. I am currently active in The Rotary Club of Ashe County. I am Mick Phillips, an Ashe County Native. Growing up in the NC Mountains, I have enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of this area since childhood. I am a graduate of the former Beaver Creek High School. My wife, Sherrie, is also from Ashe and taught school here for over 30 years. We have two children, Emily and Sam, which are both currently in college. I am a graduate of Gardner Webb University. I have been in the Real Estate profession since 2001. I am a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, the highest level of license issued by the NC Appraisal Board. I started Parkway Appraisals in 2009 and currently service Ashe, Alleghany, Avery, Watauga, and Wilkes Counties in NC and Grayson County, VA. Prior to my Real Estate Career I spent 15 years with UPS holding various management positions. My activities in the community include being a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and a past member and past president of The Jefferson’s Rotary Club. I enjoy many outdoor activities. I am a native of Ashe County and can think of no better place to raise my children. I am a graduate of Northwest Ashe High School and Appalachian State University. I live in the Creston community with my wife, Melissa. I have two children: Riley and Lauren. My bonus children are Jeffrey and Kelly. I have been a Realtor since 2000 and have extensive knowledge of the area as well as local market trends. I am also a State-Certified Real Estate Appraiser in North Carolina and Virginia. I am listed on the HUD/FHA Approved Appraiser roster. I live in the Creston community and in my spare time I am active with my kids activities. I am also active in the Ashe Masonic Lodge and the Ashe Shrine Club. On selected weekends I can also be found playing either drums or guitar and singing with two local groups. I can also be found in the sound booth for the Ashe County Little Theater and select events at the Ashe Civic Center.

I had a flawless experience working with Joe Chamberlain and Mountain Scape Realty. Joe was able to quickly find me a piece of land in a tough market. He kept me up to date with daily phone calls, and after working with many realtors in the past, I can truly say that Joe had my best interest in mind and still does. I still receive calls from him just checking in and making sure I don’t need anything. Joe knows the area/town extremely well, and anytime there were questions that needed answering he was able to get them very quickly. Truly, it was a great experience. Joe Chamberlain, Mountainscape Reality, guided us through a quick acquisition of a beautiful West Jefferson, NC cabin. Joe did a great job of working with us on negotiations and inspections. Also he directed us to the only insurance agent at State Farm that would write our home owner’s policy. No other other insurance agents were willing to write the policy on a wood cabin outside of West Jefferson at the time.

Joe listed and sold a lot in Village on the New for us.

In meeting with Joe, we quickly realized he is not the average realtor agent. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market. He explained all aspects of the process. He’s a pleasure to talk with on a personal level, he’s sincere when he speaks with you. He wants what is best for you and not putting his own personal interests ahead of the client. Property Sale
