If I could give Barb Bloomfield more than five stars, I absolutely would. As first-time homebuyers serving overseas in Peru, purchasing a home felt incredibly intimidating. We were thousands of miles away, balancing military responsibilities, work travel, and demanding schedules, all while trying to make one of the biggest financial decisions of our lives. We couldn’t walk through homes in person, and to be honest, we weren’t even entirely sure what our dream home looked like yet. That’s where Barb became so much more than a real estate agent. From the very beginning, Barb took the time to truly understand us. She didn’t just listen to our list of wants and needs, she learned who we were as people. She paid attention to the little details, our preferences, our personalities, and the things that would make a house feel like home. She could walk into a property and instantly know whether it was right for us before we did. She never approached this process as a transaction. She approached it as a mission. While we were focused on serving overseas, she was focused on protecting our interests. She consistently advocated for us, provided honest guidance, and ensured we never spent more than necessary. Barb was recommended to us from two different friends of ours. I am a second time house buyer, and this experience was light-years ahead of my first. Buying a house from 2,000 miles away was actually a good experience where any question was answered, recommendations given when asked for, and was able to negotiate terms with the seller that worked great for everyone. I am usually very busy with work, and if not, I'm busy with school. Barb was able to help me through my schedule and when I was traveling to make everything work perfectly. This is the realtor I would recommend to friends and family.

We met Barb less than a year ago and since then she has practically become a part of our family. She went above and beyond with the amount of time and effort she put into our home and responding to all of our calls/texts. Barb helped us purchase our home and then due to an unexpected job change, she helped us list it less than a year in. Barb understands the local Illinois market and does an incredible job listing a home. Not only did she help in every step with listing the home, but she also checked on it while we were out of state to ensure it was in good condition. She has good connections with local attorneys and lenders to help smooth out all of the additional steps when buying or selling a home. If we were staying in Illinois, we would use Barb for any real estate transaction moving forward in our family's life. We would recommend Barb 100 times over for your real estate needs. This was our second time working with Barb, and she exceeded our expectations once again! She helped us find the perfect home in Zion with more space for our family, and we absolutely love the neighborhood. Not only that, but she also listed our previous home and got it sold for $15,000 over asking, which was incredible! Barb is always on top of everything! She’s responsive, organized, and keeps the entire process moving smoothly. Her communication is clear and consistent, and she truly knows the market and how to negotiate effectively. She’s incredibly friendly and easy to work with, which made the whole experience great. She even went the extra mile by helping keep our toddler entertained during showings so we could really focus on looking at the home. This is something we appreciated more than we can say. I’ve also recommended Barb to a friend(since she is so amazing why would I not recommend her?), and they’ve had nothing but great things to say about their experience so far.
