Matt's experience, knowledge, communication and professionalism were all great. Since I was from out of state and didn't have a realtor, I called the listing agent, Matt, for information on the house. While talking to him, I asked if it would be better for me to find my own realtor or if he would be able to work both sides and possibly save the seller money by not having to pay 3% to another realtor. Thus, the seller might accept a little lower offer by saving that 3%. I didn't realize the seller still had to pay both sides. Everything was going well until the final walk-through. The seller was still living in the house, had not moved everything out and it was filthy. As much as Matt tried to represent both sides I believe he catered to the seller a little bit more. If I would have had my own realtor I think they would have made sure the buyer was out of the house by final walk-through. I almost walked away from the purchase of the house after seeing the unrecognizable condition it was in. I do appreciate Matt hiring a cleaning company to try and clean it up before my signing date. My expectations were not high, however, they did an amazing job. The house looked so much better than my first walk-through. I can't believe they were able to turn it around in one day, however, I still have a lot to fix up with floors being damaged from what must have been a dolly or furniture being dragged out of the house and holes in several of the walls. So, after having driven from Arizona to Florida with a moving truck full of furniture I closed on the house...rather than trying to find another place to live on such short notice.

Initial contacts were remote from Ariz. and Matt made sure to understand our needs. He worked within our parameters, and knew his market very well. When we met in FLA Matt was fully prepared and so easy to work with. He gave his advice but did not intrude on our decision. Worked with the other broker to close the deal. After we returned to AZ, he was eager to take on every little step, solve every problem…and Melissa, in his office, was also always willing to jump in to help. Matt was a true blessing during a very difficult time. He hired a professional photographer for the listing which showcased the beauty of the house. Then Hurricane Helene hit. The house flooded and had to be completely torn out. Matt offered supportive empathetic advice throughout to help us make the right decision for us on moving forward. He then found us the perfect buyer in a short timeframe. Most importantly, Matt was always available to answer our many questions and concerns through this difficult circumstance. We have bought several homes over our lifetime and I can honestly say Matt has been the best realtor we have ever had. He has great knowledge of the area and home values which is expected from any good realtor however, what separates Matt from the rest is his demeanor and his personality. By the end of our transaction, I did not consider Matt our realtor. I consider him a friend. But to add to that, he guided us so that we benefited most from moving our Homestead from one house to the next using the portability clause that I had no idea even existed until Matt brought it up. This saved us thousands of dollars a year in taxes. I can’t thank Matt and his team enough. He made the purchasing process seamless and I’m giving Matt a lot of credit here his team was just as good.
