Heather Duke and all the Compass staff were extremely helpful getting us through a difficult time with the sale of the property for the estate. They handled the tenant contacts and open houses, inspections, and property clean-up like pros. A thorough and professional team. I’m a first time homebuyer and a very particular one to say the least. Of course my goal in life was a “deal” when it came to home purchase.. something that other real estate agents just laugh at. Heather heard me out, she saw pictures of the houses we previously liked and instantly offered for us to tour a townhouse which we ended up liking. She told us the price it would likely go for, gave us tours of a few properties that same day within our budget and spent some time going over comps with us. She was very patient with all my financial questions and was very honest. The original house we ended up liking went almost 200k over asking which I didn’t expect. So when another house in the same neighborhood that was actually bigger in square footage came out, Heather texted me that she found out of an off-market house. My first thought, why off market? My second thought was, “can this be a deal?”. Yes there were some hidden costs like me paying for all the inspections and me giving them a month rent back, but overall I took the house as a deal and a win. The house has tons of potential and with a little remodel, we can really spruce it up. Heather also has recommendations for painters, electricians, contractors, you name it. She was present at each inspection with me, held my hand through all the questions during signing tons of paperwork and overall kept the whole process as easy as possible. Heather formerly was a nurse so she really knows how to take care of people and make them feel comfortable. You’re in good hands with Heather! Even my dog and one year old love her :)

We really were so very fortunate to have met Heather as new homebuyers, and are extremely happy with her brilliant work as our buyer’s agent! With her guidance, our first offer was accepted on a really lovely property that we’re ecstatic to be able to call home for the next chapter of our lives. And Heather was always available, supportive, uber-competent, uber-knowledgeable, and endlessly patient in the face of all of our questions and our generally hectically demanding home-search. We felt very well-looked after in the crazy Bay Area homebuying game: she both steered us away from a lot of potential missteps in the homebuying process, and got us a great deal not only on our new home, but also on various referrals with which she very kindly provided us (e.g., interior designers, flooring experts, electricians, handymen, and many more!). We also feel that Heather’s high-powered background as a nurse and Operations Director of a local hospital system serving underserved communities in the Bay Area made her a really good match for us, given that we feel that we can be quite demanding, cautious, and worry-wart-y :p! As a former nurse too, Heather absolutely knew how to be there for us for moral support in the most stressful periods of the homebuying process (as well as in the initial, more relaxed periods!) – i.e., 24 hours before closing, on offer day during the multiple rounds of offer negotiations with the seller, etc. Heather has also been so very kind in helping us get set up in our new home, from getting us a house-warming gift and a replacement fireplace key, to arranging for cleaners to do a pre-move-in clean, to offering to meet with contractors and even take care of our pets, etc., prior to our move-in. Heather has really become a friend, and we hope to continue seeing her in the future, especially as she lives very close to our new home! And we’ll certainly be going back to Heather as our seller’s agent if it ever comes time to move on to our next home.
There was no doubt to have Jeff handle the sale of Doug's house. Our family hired Jeff on the sale of our mother's home. Jeff helped us in contacting companies to move furniture, remove junk/garbage. The staging of the house was remarkable! Jeff had great contacts who helped get the house ready to sell. Once completed it was hard to believe the house was over 70 years old. Our highest compliment was how Jeff stayed in touch with Doug. Doug has been in an assisted living facility, confined to a wheelchair the past 14 months. Jeff and David Ballerini took the time to visit Doug with updates, almost daily. They would tell Doug everything that was being done to his house. Especially, when Jeff and David brought the offers and papers to his room. Jeff and David took time helping him get through all the paperwork. We were very impressed. In closing, for Doug selling his house was emotional. Jeff and David were sensitive to this situation and made effort to help Doug through it all. Jeff and David are so caring, they know who and what needs to be done when selling a home. Jeff and David are the BEST!

I'm a first-time home buyer, and I feel forever indebted to Dave for helping me secure a great home in San Ramon. We spent several weeks aggressively searching for the right place from Danville to San Ramon to Dublin to Pleasanton to Livermore. From the very first interaction, Dave came prepared with printouts of the background information on the homes we were evaluating.
