" It is a definite pleasure to share with you how awesome Haunani is and how she made our purchase stress-free. Haunani was a referral from a friend. We wanted to purchase something in our price range for our daughter who recently got married and moved to Kauai. Being that we reside in Oahu I thought this was not possible nor would it be a simple process. I was so wrong! I contacted Haunani in Sept. She immediately went to work to share listings with us. Maybe we were in the right place and the right time but everything from there went like clockwork. We found something that we could work with. With the advice from Haunani we put in an offer. We were not their first choice but because of our offer, we were asked to be the backup offer. We continued to look but it didn’t take long before our offer became the primary offer. Haunani kept me abreast of everything as it came up. Every time I called I received a call back or text within a few hrs. Most times immediately. Communication is the most important for my husband and I. If I was working she would contact him. We always knew what was going on and we weren’t even on the island. Just when it became crunch time and documents and deadlines came pouring in Haunani was right there to hold our hands and guide us along the way. Whew! We have done a few transactions in the past and NEVER has it been so smooth and painless. I’m not sure if it's supposed to be as smooth as it was but I’m sure with her it always is!! Lynda returned my first phone call about five years ago and gave close to an hour of her time answering our "condo" questions. She encourage me to follow her blog (an excellent resource that I also highly recommend). Last summer, and many emails later, we got serious and Lynda went to work for us. Her knowledge of Kauai's properties and trends is amazing. Her advice and suggestions were spot on and we had an offer accepted in only six weeks! (And we didn't have a boatload of cash.) Once accepted, Lynda's expertise really shined; no detail was overlooked and every concern was dealt with quickly and favorably for us. We simply cannot praise her work and efforts highly enough. We purchased a condo at Kiahuna Plantation in July of 2021. My wife and I had discussed potentially buying in the past with Lynda, but choose not to. This year, with Lynda's guidance on what we were really looking for, we made a list of those items and also sent her a listing of unit numbers that we would be interested in. Within 3-4 days of sending the listing, she informed us of a new listing that was right in the area we most desired. The rest is history as we made an offer and was accepted after being on the market for 1 day. As we took our first look at the property and later with a house inspection team, you could tell she was very familiar with the property in general. Lynda was always open for questions and guidance. Voice messages left were always returned in a timely manner; emails were as well. It didn't take long for us to put our complete trust in her. And we feel Lynda is a very ethical and detailed person.But this helpfulness didn't end at the closing. It's been there since we began discussing the possibility of purchasing a condo, thru the closing period (so much paperwork), and has continued since the closing in mid-August.We have lived in 4 different houses in our home state of Iowa dealing with three different realtors. One was exceptional. But we believe Lynda is above exceptional in all that she has done for us. Maybe it's because of all the paperwork or maybe it's the Hawaiian weather! "We LOVED working with Haunani Sullivan. We initially contacted Haunani regarding purchasing a Kauai vacation rental. A place where we could visit and rent out the rest of the year. We live on Oahu and Haunani went above and beyond our expectations. She would visit a property that was of interest and walk through using Facetime. At one time we had an accepted offer and then withdrew after the inspection. As we began looking again, the clock was ticking. We had sold an investment property and had only forty-five days to identify a replacement property to abide by the 1031 Exchange rules. Haunani graciously stayed in step with us as we got more familiar with Kauai and changed priorities looking for a house as a long-term rental and for future retirement.
