My wife Audrey and I have personally made numerous real estate transactions over the past thirty years. I have also helped hundreds of customers do the same during my years as a REALTOR.

I moved to South Kona on the Big Island in 1989 when I was just 7 years old. I am so happy that I am living here and raising my kids at the same schools that I went to with the same Hawaiian lifestyle. I went to Ho'okena school and graduated High school at Konawaena. Working in sales and marketing since I was 14 years old, I was licensed to sell Real Estate in 2005. Shortly after, the boom dropped & It wasn't the best time to start selling real estate here in Hawaii or anywhere really, but I was determined to learn how to keep helping others & was able to become a top agent by 2011. Since I have helped numerous people make Hawaii home and showed them how to enjoy such an incredible place! I love camping, hiking, backpacking, fitness, the BEACH, staying active & bright colors. Before earning my Real Estate license in 2004, I co-founded and operated a local surf shop in 1993, which grew to 3 locations over my 16 years of ownership. The shops were an integral part of the Big Island community and for numerous years, consecutively earned the honor of "Best Surf Shop", by the local newspaper and its readers.

Ed Barry is not you average real estate guy
Ed Barry is not you average real estate guy. We were selling our Hawaii home but living in California. everything fell on Ed to do, he had to get permits finalized, hire workers, stagers cleaners everything. he solved every problem that came our way,. and he did it with a smile and a great attitude. he made all the difference for us since we were able to go back he really had to do it all. we didn't know him, he was essentially assigned to us on Zillow, we bought this Hawaii house from him and he sold it for us too. I didn't know real estate people could be like this. we cannot possibly express our gratitude for his help, his kindness and competence.

Once we found a place he guided us through the home buying process in an extremely professional manner – if he said he would call – he called, if he set a time to meet – we met. He answered every question and made sure we met every deadline. Working with Ed to buy our new home in Hawaii was such a pleasure, we consider him our first and best friend on the island. During the process, Ed had to thread the needle between our unusual financing requirements (we were buying a new place before selling the previous one so bridging finance was involved), and the seller's desire for an all-cash deal. He handled this with perfect integrity throughout, leaving us and the seller completely satisfied with the results.Along the way, Ed needed to communicate with both the seller's agent and our mortgage broker. In all cases, Ed sought our input and copied us on all of the communications which were beyond professional.For any real-estate activity we do on the big island going forward, Ed will be our agent, and I would highly recommend him to friends.
