I see my role as a real estate broker as a connector between people and ʻāina — between a person or family and the place they’ll call home. Everyone comes with a story, and I try to understand what matters most before I start giving advice. From there, I’m genuinely looking out for my clients. If I’m working with a buyer and something doesn’t feel right, I’ll be the first to speak up. If I’m working with a seller and I see ways to add value, I’m right there too. I’m not just here for the sale — I’m here to look out for you. I’m your Hāmākua real estate expert. I live in Laupāhoehoe and my office is in Honokaʻa. Since 2014, I’ve focused on learning the Hāmākua Coast from Waimea to Hilo — the climate pockets, the neighborhoods, the quirks, the water realities, and what actually matters day-to-day once you own the property. I love sharing what I know with people who feel drawn to this area of the island. These days, I intentionally work with a small number of clients at a time so I can stay hands-on and present. I don’t use assistants — you work directly with me the whole way through. I take the cost of buying and selling seriously, and I treat it like it’s my own money on the line – striving to help you make decisions you’ll feel good about later. Outside of real estate, my kids come first. My family and I live off-grid, and I’m involved in stewarding the ʻāina we’re fortunate to care for. I value a healthy and simple life, and that perspective carries into how I work and how I show up for clients. Whether you’re buying or selling — land, a family home, or something complex — my goal is to be a resource you can rely on. I am also Military friendly having served 7 years in the Hawaii Air National Guard. The Military and Hotel industries taught me the value of team work. Born and raised in the heart of Waimea, I am a life-long resident of Hawaii. Aloha! I am a local girl born and raised here on the Big Island and I would like to say I know a great deal about our growing island and its local communities. I grew up in a small town called Kohala and went on to college and received my Associates Degree in Travel from Kapiolani Community College and my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from The University of Hawai’i, West Oahu. My previous career was in the hotel industry for 20 years and I am loving this new change. Living on the Big Island is truly a blessing! Fun fact about our island is that we have 11 of the 13 climate zones in the world! I married my high school sweetheart, and together we have 3 children. We love to go on adventures whether it’s on the Big Island, outer island, out of state or another country, we enjoy exploring from the top of the mountains down to the ocean. I know that buying or selling a house can be stressful and you want to be comfortable and know that the person representing you in the process is someone you can rely on to help make it as seamless as possible. In the process of receiving my real estate license, I learned that my greatest passions are my faith, family, helping others and building sustainable and lasting relationships. My own personal experience as a first-time home buyer was purchasing our family’s home back in 2011 and I remember how stressful it can get. I am gaining more experience about real estate as a transaction manager and assistant for a real estate broker. She has been a great mentor by sharing, guiding and teaching me her wealth of knowledge that she has gained for over 20 years in this industry. Dan is knowledgeable and professional. He's always available for questions and is intelligent, observant and warm. He's extremely current on real estate intricacies and knows the area well.
