
After a phone conversation in which she helped me define what I was looking for, Cindy took me and my 94-year-old mother to a variety of properties several times, further honing what was important to me. At every location, she turned my attention from “the view” and pointed out any work that needed to be done, specific improvements that had been made (eg, removal of popcorn ceilings, upgraded appliances, quality of furnishings included), and gave her opinion about the listed price. At some sites, she recalled the previous sales history and the changes made in the interim. Between in-person trips, Cindy constantly was available telephonically to answer questions and concerns. During our site-viewing trips, Cindy pointed out restaurants and businesses and shared bits of island history as well as current topics of interest. When I had narrowed my sights to two properties, Cindy went into detail as to the amenities each offered vis a vis its asking price and, when I chose one of them, discussed negotiating strategy particular to that property. In the end, my initial offer incorporating my needs and those of the seller was accepted, and I am now looking forward to spending time at “my condo.” I am very grateful to Cindy for the learning experience I underwent, the very satisfactory result we achieved, and her attention to the “little things” - she called my mother on her 95th birthday, three months later!
