My husband & I were referred to Scott Korbin after a family crisis. We lost our Syracuse home of 25 years to a huge fire. We were undecided on "retiring" to Cary, North Carolina where our son, daughter-in-law, & their 3 children live. The desire to relocate was reinforced by the fire. Our son said of Scott, "I've got the Guy!". Due to the geographical distance, we depended on Scott & his team to answer our countless questions, requests for floor plans, & nuances of buying in NC. He also helped us explore the different communities & lifestyles available. We had pretty firm ideas about our wants, needs & attributes of a community or house that were "deal-killers". Our initial interaction with Scott was a FaceTime call to understand his background & process while he explored our desires for the "perfect" home. That home requires a gourmet kitchen, 3-car garage, bigger than a postage-stamp sized lot & less than 30-minutes to our son's house. All of these needed to be accomplished within a very specific budget. Before we met Scott we spent several months exploring over 100 houses on-line while we awaited the insurance company to settle our dwelling claim. We were going to be "cash buyers" with those proceeds. It was frustrating seeing houses we liked, not be able to see them in person, and having them bought so quickly while we awaited the settlement. Scott worked diligently suggesting possible homes within the required radius from our son that we could view online. He carefully counseled us on negatives that he found on many of the houses. Finally, Nancy flew down on a Monday to be escorted by Scott & his team to the 7 finalists. On Friday, after touring several, she, our son & Scott entered what will become our "perfect" home in Fearrington Village, Pittsboro. We were the first viewing of the first day of the Open House. Our purchase offer was made on the spot. It was accepted that day. We consider Scott & his Team trusted advisors & friends.

I worked with Linda Trevor, Carla Belanger, and the Compass team to search for my new home and sell my other one. After months of searching (and years searching on my own), we found a house I loved! Unfortunately, soon after I signed the contract came one of the most difficult periods in my life! Although I was really counting on selling my other home soon after closing on the new one, I ended up having to wait a few months before putting it on the market. The team was so patient and kind to me. Linda and Carla consistently checked in on me, not just professionally, but also personally.
