Interviewed over 10 agents. All were professional and were knowledgeable about the marketplace. Some communicated better than others. Some suggested that we invest more money before listing. Some listened better than others. Some took the time to truly understand our priorities and how we preferred the process to unfold, while others didn't. Some were flexible and others were somewhat rigid. (I.E. "I'm successful & know what works.") Most worked as a single agent with assurances to involve others as required. Only a few were a team or co-agents. Some kept their egos in check, while others couldn't. Some were comfortable when challenged, while others felt slightly offended. Some were unafraid to challenge me in a respectful way, while others avoided potential conflict. Most did their homework and research on the local market conditions and comparable listings. Most had a game plan going forward. Knowing that the process would be challenging at times for all parties, it was important to know/believe that the agent(s) could deal with a somewhat demanding client. In doing so, it would not detract from their commitment to their client or create distractions, resulting in spending more time with other listings. My priority was a difficult one. Sell the house as a complete turnkey, fully furnished residence. BOTTOM LINE. We felt comfortable with a team of co-agents. They balanced each other out as most husband & wife teams generally do.
