He advised us on what we needed to do to help the sale and he did all forms of outreach to sell it. Unfortunately, this was not a great time to sell real estate. We took it off of the market. In 2016 we contacted Lou again to sell it and in only a few weeks it was sold. Lou is a good friend and keeps in touch with us just to see how we are doing. We will use Lou Herring again for our next real estate transaction.

What a blessing and relief of stress! Lou helped us sell our townhouse after we had moved to Texas. He did EVERYTHING and was so transparent throughout the entire process. We did almost everything remotely via conference calls and DocuSign. He toured our home with us on the phone and gave suggestions for improvements we could have made to ensure a smooth sale. He even did the legwork to offer suggestions for trusted contractors for the projects since we were out of state, and monitored them as they did the work, keeping us informed every step of the way. We would highly recommend Lou as an honest, highly communicative realtor, and would definitely request that he be our realtor again if we have the opportunity to move back to the Birmingham area.

Lou is the best realtor I have had the pleasure to work with. I had been looking for a home for years when Lou came into the plan it all started to fall together. For me Lou went way beyond the call of duty to help me find what I was looking for and that is what he did. To top it off when it came time for the paperwork he walked me through it and explain all my questions which made it so much easier. He still checks on us from time to time to this day. Lou is a family man and it comes through in his work with clients. My brother first met him when looking for a house in the Birmingham area and my brother not only gained a house but a great friend. In, turn when it came time for me to sell a home in the Hoover area, while living thousands of miles away in Seattle, Lou was right there, more than willing to take on the extra effort it would be to make the sell happen. He was able to check on the house, help me line up lawn care workers, a handyman for numerous jobs around the house, got me competitive quotes on an air conditioner that went out. He was a savior during what could have been an otherwise stressful situation. Knowing the kind of friend he was to my brother and his willingness to show up and get the job done made it easy to choose him as my real estate agent when I really needed someone to be my eyes and ears from afar. I had no hesitation in contacting him. I knew that he was honest and hard-working. Throughout the home buying process, Lou was very accommodating and professional. He did the little things that made me respect him even more. The service didn’t end with the home purchase. Joey is a true professional. He was always responsive and available to discuss anything relating to the sale of our home. He did what he promised to do through online advertising, open houses and even helped with the presentation of the home as I had to be out town for business when we listed.
