I had been reviewing many houses on zilla from Florida to Tennessee and Zillow connected me with Gabriela Fletcher back in the end of June or July of 2026. We shuffled many houses back-and-forth through the Internet and she responded the best she could, but she told me a couple days before that I may be able to qualify for a brand new home and his luck would have it. Her client had canceled on that Thursday, September 10, and by 6:13 PM, September 10, I had found my dream home and we shook hands on it and she wrote up the contracts and now I am the proud owner of my very first home with me and my best friend, companion, my little dog on September 30th, went away to round out the fiscal year and to make many dreams of 60 years to have our own home acknowledged received and followed through it. Larry was great to work with. We had to move back to WI because of wife's Cancer treatment and surgery. So, he took care of the home and check on it many times since it was empty. 3 days before our closing a major storm hit and did damage to the home by pulling a big tree down which miss the home but did take the electric riser and power box down and damage a part of the gutter. This cause us over $5000 to fix and on top of that it cause the dishwasher and stove to be replace which cause us more dollars. He knew this would cause us hardship so he decided to reduce his commission down so that the closing could still go on and we didn't have to bring dollars to closing. Liesel was patient with me as I toured the houses and listened to what I liked or didn’t like about specific houses. She gave me the time and the information I needed to consider the financial costs so that I could stay within my budget. She kept me up to date with new houses that came onto the market in the area and came to the tours with a no pressure approach, making it clear from the start that if I absolutely didn’t like the house from the start, I could walk away from it, no judgement or frustration.
