We moved to the area at the wrong time for home buyers -- more buyers than available homes (a seller's market!). Since we moved from out-of-state, we needed to find a house fast and needed to get our kids enrolled in school. We knew it was going to be difficult to find the house we wanted as we had very specific requirements that eliminated most houses. Out first Realtor that was recommended by a co-worker did not work out for us as we did not get the responsiveness and attention that we needed (especially considering the market and the need to quickly find a home). After four months of working unsuccessfully with this Realtor we switched to Candie. The difference was astonishing. Had we used Candie from the start, I'm sure we would've found something we wanted quickly. Instead, we had to move into a rental which further delayed our purchase. We eventually found what we were looking for. Whenever Candie was not available, she always made sure someone could show us homes in her place. We never missed out on a house in this hot market because our Realtor was not available to us -- that was not the case with our first Realtor. We met Candie at an open house. This was our alternative to see houses as our first Realtor was frequently not available. The thing we noticed about her that kept her on our mind was she would listen with attentiveness -- not just to us, but also to our kids asking her questions about what kinds of wildlife might be at the house. If she was going to pay that much attention to our kids, she would certainly pay attention to what we were looking for in a house. Candie was a pleasure to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Barbara worked tirelessly to make sure our home sold quickly and for the right price. She was extremely patient with me and my endless questions and fears and always answered our emails, texts and phone calls quickly. After seeing the beautiful brochure that Barbara created for potential buyers, we thought our home looked so beautiful, we wanted to buy it ourselves! If you are getting ready to put your home on the market, you would be doing yourself a HUGE favor to let Barbara be your agent!

Michelle is a very hard worker and very detail oriented. I would recommend her to anybody buying or selling real estate in the high country.

Jeffrey was very helpful and comforting with the sale of my house after my husband passed away. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in knowing or researching everything needed in setting this sale up. My husband Scott passed away suddenly without all renovations completed, and Jeffrey advised me well in how to sell it unfinished. (mostly finished though). Jeffrey and his wife Emmaline went above and beyond their call of duty with things, they swept before or after showings, picked up sticks while checking on the house for me. I had moved to be near my daughters, and they made sure everything was always ready for a showing. They kept me informed of everything going on and when it came time to negotiate on a sale price, he was very professional and looked out for my best interest. He set everything up so I didn't need to be present at closing, since it would be hard for me to be there emotionally. I can't express enough how much he has done to help me get everything in the sheds cleaned out and ready to be in the best condition to show. I will be eternally grateful to Jeffrey and his wife Emmaline for their knowledge and support in this sale!

We contacted Stephen a few days after the largest snow storm in the area in more than 20 years and asked him to meet us at the property we wanted to see. Wouldn't you know it was misting rain and there was still over 12 inches of snow in the subject property yard - very messy weather. We toured the home, noting some things we liked and others we had concerns with. We were not experienced in all the home characteristics nor items we might need to know when moving from low country to the mountains. Stephen was very responsive in getting answers to our questions and noting some things we might not have thought to question. We subsequently made an offer and reached a contract acceptable to both the sellers and us, the buyers. He was extremely helpful in locating local sources for mortgage, hazard insurance, and was very responsive to other questions we had. If we were ever to move again, he would be our listing agent, as well as our purchasing agent if he is available. We definitely support an overall rating of 5 stars for Stephen McDaniel
