Selling a house is stressful. Selling a house in New Orleans with all our particular Louisiana quirks, paperwork, and “we’ve always done it this way” energy is a whole different beast. Gretchen Shotwell made it look easy, and, that is no small feat. From day one, her attention to detail was borderline supernatural. Nothing slipped through the cracks not a form, not a deadline, not a light bulb, not a single detail about my place at 2340 North Rampart. If there was a wrinkle to iron out, she’d already ironed it before I even knew it existed. What really got me, though, was how smooth the whole transition felt. Selling a home is emotional even when it’s the right move, you’re still handing over a piece of your life to a stranger. Gretchen handled that with the kind of care and communication that made the whole process feel less like a transaction and more like she actually had my back the entire way. And on top of all that? She’s just easy to work with. No drama, no chasing her down for answers, no guessing games. Quick responses, clear communication, and a calm “I’ve got this” energy that made an inherently stressful process feel downright manageable. If you’re buying or selling she is a 10/10 Agent ✨ Listing to closing in less than 45 days is what she delivered.

She is professional, she is honest and helpful but allows the buyer to make their own decision and draw their own conclusions. We were under a tight timeline so Gretchen was the perfect realtor, she had a realistic timeline and was always one step ahead of the process. We felt safe and secure with her plan and advice. She has a great heart and knows what it means to find a place that we can call home. Thanks a bunch Gretchen!!

Gretchen was an amazing communicator, keeping us apprised of all the millions of details, explaining things to us, making sure we were on time, and on top of the process. She was professional and also personal and thoughtful. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a property in New Orleans.
