We were visiting the Port Charlotte area to get familiar with the different subdivisions and the area in general. We spent several days visiting and calling on different vacant lots and houses. Cindy was the only agent who returned our calls. We asked her to put us on an email list with properties that would meet our criteria. She did so and we began receiving lists of available properties immediately. Cindy was very patient in answering any of our questions and taking steps to find out information that she didn't already have. It turned out that we bought a vacant lot fairly quickly. Cindy was great thru the title/closing process and actually re-wrote some things in the purchase agreement to give us additional protections. We are not finished in the Port Charlotte area and will continue to use Cindy when we can.

Carol Jean Sheil came well-armed to our initial meeting. She presented a folder containing statistics on the 13 for-sale properties and handful of recently sold properties in our community of 364 lots. After a tour of our home with her associate, Realtor Chris Goode, our conversation revealed Carol as an informed and organized real estate pro with a determination to succeed. She advised us to recognize the changing trend to a buyer's market locally and emphasized the importance of having realistic expectations with our mid-winter listing. It turned out our ideas on an asking price were similar. Our confidence in selecting Carol to sell our property was bolstered when she showed us the listing's description of our home that highlighted the many improvements we had undertaken during our 10 years of ownership. The professional photographs included an exceptional view of the front of our home. Carol skillfully guided us through the entire process from filling out the disclosure statements to conveniently setting up the closing. Her attention to detail and calm demeanor are exceptional. (No surprise. A retired nurse, she is a former director of surgical services for a local hospital.) She updated us on each viewing of the property and the offers. By mid-May we accepted an offer and closed in early June. We were very pleased with Carol's skill and efforts.
