Worked with Fred for 5 months to buy a house in LA. He is based in SF but does cover the LA market. Fred was honest, friendly and patient to work with and very prompt at paying the commission rebate after close of escrow. We got $15k back in the rebate and this is probably the easiest $15k I will ever earn. There were some bumps on the road and you may not get the full service that you might get with a traditional agent e.g. we had no agent at any of our viewings. But this is a small cost to pay when you are getting a significant rebate that you would not normally get. In short, if you want to save a lot of money - especially if you are already somewhat familiar with the home buying process - then I would strongly recommend.

I am the Trustee for an estate in San Francisco and while I have many friends and acquaintances in the business, my attorney recommended several brokers with expertise in estate/probate law. After meeting several brokers, we selected the Wiley Team and we have been extremely pleased with their knowledge, execution and constant communications regarding the ever changing real estate market conditions and their ability to stay abreast with competing listings in my immediate area. With regard to their execution, the team provided project management services and coordinated strategic improvements and repair work with their network of contractors and consultants prior to their marketing efforts to attract a dwindling buyer pool. More importantly, imagine taking this assignment with a fully furnished home which was unoccupied for over a year. While my wife helped me empty the refrigerator and pantry and remove all furniture and personal items, Todd, in addition to performing his normal task as my broker, took on the added task of helping me pack over 60 boxes of books and personally hauled them to the Friends of the SF Library with his truck! The team also purchased and coordinated the installation of all new electrical fixtures to update the home’s appearance which helped tremendously in the sales outcome. In short, despite the headwinds of a dwindling buyer pool, rising interest rates and a home in dire need of repairs, the Wiley team produced a sale that was above the asking price and very close to an independent MAI appraisal completed one year ago. Without hesitation, I would hire the Wiley team for my next assignment. Todd and Kim truly look out for their client’s best interest.

Kirk was simply amazing in helping me purchase my first home. His superpower is definitely his knowledge of the San Francisco market and the history of many of the condo communities there. He was able to trudge through the hundreds of pages of disclosures and find the details that would matter to me. I also appreciated that the decision was always very much in my hands. A bit scary when it came to deciding on an offer price. However by the time we got to the offer stage, Kirk had given me all the information I needed to get a great deal.

We had an amazing experience working with Kirk. As first time homebuyers, we had very limited knowledge on real estate and one of our goals was to be over-educated. After all, this would be the single biggest investment we would make to date. Kirk struck the right balance of sharing information that we wanted (and sometimes didn't even know we wanted!), but making it very easy to digest. He met us where we were at. He was extremely patient with us as we wanted a lot of time to get comfortable with the home buying process. We never felt rushed and felt extremely supported by him. He spent a lot of time with us going to different properties, finding ways to make special arrangements happen, and ultimately, we felt, went above and beyond for us. Ultimately he found us our first home, which was not even on our radar, but he scouted it out for us after learning what we were looking for over many property visits. This showed me that Kirk listens and pays attention, something that is hard to find in many realtors are they juggle many clients and priorities. We never felt like we weren't important. We also had a lot of adjacent questions to the home buying process as first timers and Kirk was happy to guide us through all of them (I'm pretty sure some of them were not even adjacent). To add, he's a very nice, smart, and communicative person. He strikes the balance of being a nice person, but is also very direct and honest, which is something we knew we needed when making such a big decision. He also is very professional when dealing with offers (great balance of being firm, but not mean). We have already been recommending him to all our friends who are looking to buy in the next few years and we will definitely work with Kirk again whenever we need to buy or sell a home again. If you end up working with Kirk, I'm very excited for your home buying/selling journey.
