I’ve been fortunate to have bought and sold a handful of homes in California and Oregon, and in all those transactions I’ve also been fortunate to have had the support of excellent realtors. There’s no doubt, however, if I were to choose an agent today, I would choose Deniece Smith. Deniece helped with the sale of a long term rental home in the Bay Area. Some of the words and phrases that describe Deniece are… organized, proactive, responsive, a person of integrity, smart, clear communicator, knowledgeable, transparent, tactful, energetic, positive, experienced, participatory, skilled negotiator, a discerning eye for design, and fun! Deniece managed the entire process of updating and preparing my home for sale. Her business relationships with contractors, inspectors and stagers surely contributed to staying within the scope, schedule and budget of the effort. All the while she educated me on the local market and what we could expect in terms of price and days on market. Beyond the mls listing, she undertook a comprehensive marketing campaign on social media, the major realty sites (eg, Zillow, Realtor, Homes, etc), as well as printed brochures and flyers. She negotiated terms of the purchase agreement and guided me through the escrow process. Oh, another word I would use to describe Deniece… personal. She’s not a robot, she’s not all business.
