I normally never write reviews but ..there is always a “but “…here in Sea Pines my partner and I have bought and sold four homes in the last two years so we’ve had extensive experience with Wendy on both sides of the transactions. The number one most positive element of our experience was that Wendy actually answered the phone when we called , which, in this day and age, is a shock…..example ….I have an investment account with a very well-known national institution and a personal financial advisor… in the seven years I’ve had this account I’ve never been able to get the guy on the phone. I always have to leave a message and he returns the phone call when it’s convenient for him….(and I have payed him a lot more than I have paid Wendy in the last few years!!!! )….if Wendy rarely couldn’t get to a call, she returned the call virtually immediately. The other element that my partner and I liked was that, in addition to being extremely professional, she has a wonderful sense of calm about her. Her knowledge base of the market was and is unparalleled and she was not one to make long-term suggestions to us about a course of action predicated on short term issues ( eg. her making a sale ). She gently and deftly steered us away from one situation that, looking back on it now, would’ve been a mistake for us, but we didn’t know it at the time. We always felt that she had our best interest in mind, despite the fact that the system is set up to reward her only if the sale made, not if the clients best interest were served. These elements have a tendency to generate a confidence in her which is justified on both sides of the equation, the seller and the buyer. I would recommend her to my sainted Irish mother and, believe me, if you knew my mother, you’d understand what a risk I would be taking.
