I come from four generations of fabric merchants, so it was only natural that I’d gravitate toward the fashion industry. I’ve always loved the art of getting dressed, and how it functions as a form of self expression. I began my career as a buyer before joining my husband’s streetwear brand, REBEL8, in 2013. That endeavor brought us from San Francisco to LA, where we’ve settled in Los Feliz. The change of scenery gave way to new possibilities, namely the freedom to pursue what’s always felt like a parallel passion: real estate.
My earlier career taught me how to build and maintain relationships, how to deftly negotiate, and how to understand market trends and read people. My first boss in the fashion industry told me, "You’re not buying for yourself; you’re buying for the customer. Use that lens." Being able to see through your client’s eyes, understanding their needs and wants, and delivering—whether it's a garment or a home—is key.
In making the transition between industries, the doubt crept in: would I find a way to fit into this world and still be myself? Thankfully, a mutual friend introduced me to Clarkliving and Backbeat Homes, and I knew right away this crop of hardworking whackos were exactly my people. As an agent, and as a person, I believe my most advantageous traits are my authenticity and my patience. I strive to be helpful, resourceful, encourage you to be comfortable in your own skin around me, and multitask on your behalf while still giving you my full attention.
Outside of work, I’m a Pro-Bono Activities Director (mom to two young kids.) I love volunteering at their school, and creating a home for them that feels silly, safe, and full of possibility. As a family, we love to travel, especially to visit our roots in Northern California and Sweden—in the summer.
