Our goal was to build a new home in or near Middletown, California, and it's interesting that the first property we contacted Victoria about, and ultimately bought, we initially dismissed. After looking at literally dozens of other local properties in the area over several months we learned most properties within our budget, acreage needs and location requirements had unique land features that would adversely affect the cost of construction. From rocky terrain to burn scar areas to steep slopes, almost every property had some issue to consider.
