I was a first time home buyer looking for a place within the Portland market. From start to finish, I felt like I had to do little on my own. He asked good initial questions about what I was looking for in a home to not only provide some direction for myself, but also narrow the search from what was available on the market at the time. Due to that process, we were able to find the house I wanted to place an offer on within the first day of actually going out and looking at homes. In regards to the negotiations, this is where I feel Tim really went the extra mile. I felt we got the best deal we could have gotten. There were a lot of components to the negotiations that Tim educated me on and easily explained where we could push the deal in our favor. I would like to share my experience as a seller with Tim Rist / DORE. In 2022 I was trying to sell my primary residence in Rickreall which was zoned Residential/Commercial. My home was stunning but because of it's location it created challenges. At that time, the rates were beginning to climb and the prices of property were starting to drop. I had just ended my contract with the last realtor (Second of two) that I was working with. I was very discouraged and felt like realtors were lazy and untrustworthy.
