We worked with Tara on the purchase of our Staunton home, and then again on the sale and purchase of our current home in Churchville. Tara was extremely flexible with our selling arrangement and went above and beyond in her communication between us and the buyers and arranging a seamless process. For the purchase of our current home, Tara understood exactly what we were looking for and notified us early of a new listing. We were able to see the house and make an offer in under 24 hours. Tara is our favorite agent! We had worked with her before and she had previously helped us purchase a home, but this time we needed to sell our home and purchase a forever home. We had a very specific list of needs and a set budget to work with. Tara made herself available at many different times, she even went as far to go with me to pick out items for the remodel we were doing, not many would have done that! She answered all questions with expertise and knowlege of what others would be looking for, she helped pick out colors for the paint and even had a contractor on call to help with the repairs! She literally walked us through the whole process I will refer her with confidence to friends and family!!

I met Tara in 2019 when I bought my first home. May of 2021 I decided it was best for me and my 9 month old daughter to move back to Texas where I had a big support system. Buying a home is one thing but, selling something you love so dearly is another. I believe I challenged Tara the entire process. I had a few agents come and take a look at the house to share with me their ideas on how I can make the most money off my investment. She was the only one who truly had my best interest at heart. There was another agent who lived in my neighborhood that works for Remax (I believe Crystal?) she informed in order to sell my home at the dollar figure I wanted to sell it I would have to put money into the home to do so. Without doing so I’d never be able to sell my house for what I wanted. She made me feel like my request to sell at price A was unheard of and I was stupid. I thought to myself “you want me to find a contractor, hire them, wait for them and hope the work I did makes me money?” On top of that I had a 9 month old and we were in world wide pandemic. Yeah. No. Tara came over and asked me what I wanted to do… I couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down my face to tell her what was going on. She knew my pain and just listened. I told her I wanted to sell my home for $230k, I wasn’t backing down from the price. I wasn’t putting money into the home to make money. She encouraged me not to put money into the home and sell it as is. I told her the worst that could happen is I don’t get the offers I’m looking for and we go back to square 1. Later that month we listed my home for $230k and within a few days had an offer on it for $247k! I made $72k off my home in less than 2 years and didn’t have to put a dime into it. She let me take control and she brought the people to see the home.

Whatever the unusually competitive real estate market handed us, Tara was always professional, supportive, positive, and THERE for us. She acted as both our listing agent and our buyer's agent. Whether selling or buying, if our mood was low, she encouraged us and reminded us the right buyer and the right home would come to us. When we could not find a house in our target market, Tara did not desert us. She arranged for and took us to showings outside of her usual geographic market. She listened to us, understood our needs, and always put our unique interests first. We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable or supportive agent.
