After the owner accepted our offer, Stephen tried to rush us to pay the credit check and application fee to seal the deal with the owner. Even we have told him that we will complete the transaction a couple days later because of our busy schedule. But he was ignoring that part, and made us to pay it right away. After telling us that our credit and everything looks great, and sending us a sample lease to review, he called us the next few days saying that the owner backed up for personal reasons. When we asked for the refund for our fees, he has never responded till we called a few days later (which is totally different attitude compared with before when he tried to ask our money to close the deal), and tried to explain that he couldn't give us back the processing fee. We felt being "cheated" in a way, especially the fault was not on us. Stephen hasn't had a clear communication with the owner first, but instead, rushed us to pay the unnecessary fees for nothing.
