We felt very fortunate to have Sophia on our side during a recent "long distance" real estate purchase, especially when the puzzle got complicated and some of the pieces weren't being supplied accurately by those responsible. "On our side" doesn't really capture the service Sophia provides: she was quite clearly in charge! I see other reviewers using terms like "relentless," "devoted," and "detail oriented" which are also true but don't fully describe her either. This is closer: Sophia is like having another you, except she knows what she's doing, she is everywhere at the same time, and she seems to be able to devote all of her enormous energy to tracking the complex pieces of the deal and getting your problem solved. I'm an educator and I often tell my students, "I can't care more about your success than you do" but I think Sophia may have been more invested in our transaction than I was! Whenever some issue presented itself my wife would ask "what are we going to do about that?" I'd say "I told Sophia." Done. I feel certain that it was more comforting being on the team that had Sophia than it could possibly have been being on the other side; see "relentless" above and add "persistent" and "intense." I ended up feeling a little sorry for some of the people who failed to do their part (not a lot, they pretty much deserved it)! In short, you can fumble through a huge transaction and hope that you are doing everything properly and aren't getting cheated or missing something or making or a huge mistake, or you can hire Sophia. Oh, and she sends recipes, too, so why would you make any other choice?

We can't say anything but the best about our buying experience with Sophia as our agent. Sophia was recommended by the lawyer for my dad's estate because we might encounter inchoate legal issues concerning titles held by trusts and she is experienced with anticipating and addressing or avoiding those. Instead, we encountered a pandemic and quarantine that slowed and complicated every aspect of the process, but Sophia proved adept with that too. She used the period of enforced idleness to thoroughly research the market for an old house in a unique neighborhood and zeroed in on just the right asking price to suit my needs under the difficult circumstances -- when we were finally able to list the property, it sold in less than a week for more than we asked, without contingencies, to just the right people for our family home.
