To say that Shirley Smith is “Realtor Extraordinaire” is no exaggeration. I recently came to Florida’s The Villages on an exploratory venture. I was referred to Shirley by my NC realtor who assured me that Shirley and I would be a good fit. Boy was she right! As a disabled person with special needs, I explained the features I was looking for, price range and where I specifically wanted to be located. Prior to my arrival, Shirley not only reviewed 100s of listings, she visited houses to evaluate functionality, property condition and value for my $s. Who does that???? Beyond being knowledgeable, dedicated and professional, Shirley is wise and caring with such a lovely personality! From our first phone conversation I knew I could trust her to work in my best interest even if we didn’t find the right house. But, to my surprise, on Day 2 we visited the perfect house. Shirley prepared the contract, ordered the inspection, reviewed the inspection report and steered me to a wonderful contractor for minor repairs and walked me through every step of homeownership in The Villages along with a good bit of cautionary advice. Prior to closing, she made sure that everything was in order. I am delighted to say that Shirley is now a friend I look forward to spending time with when my NC to FL move is complete!

Besides being a wonderful and kind person, Shirley has the right combination of knowledge and experience in both the back end and front end of selling real estate that makes her very effective. Because of her experience in reviewing contracts, she was able to guide me through that complicated process in addition to offering (and helping me with) staging suggestions and recommending the best time to put my house on the market to get the quickest sale for the best price. As a result, my house sold in 2 weeks for the price I was hoping to get. I would recommend Shirley to anyone who wants an agent who truly has the seller's best interest in mind.
