I was initially referred to Shemeika by her former client and my best friend who does make recommendations lightly. Shemeika did not disappoint. My original call was merely to see if she could shepherd me through the greater Santa Cruz Real Estate market in my search for a new home. Quite honestly her referral by my best friend was really all I needed and everything else was merely confirmation. During our initial phone call I did mention that I would be selling my present domicile and would be seeking a one for one transaction with a possible contingency sale. I was quite gratified to hear that she would also be able to assist me with the sale of my current home in San Jose CA. Though not her usual sales territory she wasted no time in researching the Campbell market and compiling a list of comps in my immediate area. What followed was a fruitful couple on months in which I communicated to her my wishes for a new Santa Cruz county home, prompt showings of real estate that interested me while, all the while, she and I moved forward on the sale on my Campbell townhouse. During this period I am afraid I put her through the paces as I commenced on a pretty thorough do-over of the townhouse, including a complete master bath remodel, continuation of a kitchen remodel which was in progress but still inchoate, and a complete and total re-flooring of the townhouse from carpet to vinyl flooring. Her assistance throughout this entire project was invaluable as she was completely hands on with the selection of materials, color matching and other suggestions which would expedite the sale of my old property. Later she helped me with finding the proper resources to stage the townhouse for sale and of course made sure it was listed promptly. Later, while still in the midst of this whole project, she encouraged me to make a contingency offer on my future house in Aptos. Her expertise, knowledge of the market, engagement and cheerful bearing are nonpareil .
