I am no stranger to helping people. As the oldest of nine with four children of my own, I have worn many hats over the years honing my skills as the resident Chaos Coordinator, Director of People-Hearding, Captain of Multitasking; a superhero Director of Operations on the homefront. As a former nurse for an OB/GYN, I have the ability to multitask and triage stressful situations and make it look easy. After a life-altering medical diagnosis, working in healthcare was no longer an option. I spent five years as the marketing director for a home inspection company developing a love for real estate. While marketing to real estate agents, I marveled at the way agents would gently navigate their clients through what is often a very vulnerable time. I quickly learned that the education REALTORS provided to their buyers and sellers was priceless. I quickly learned that the real estate industry provided an outlet for me to combine my newfound real estate knowledge, organizational skills, and natural inclination for grace under pressure while fulfilling my need to nurture and care for others. I have since obtained my real estate license in Maryland and West Virginia and am currently working towards obtaining my Pennsylvania license as well.
A fast learner, I quickly became a mentor for others helping to develop my brokerage’s mentorship program. I also worked hard to obtain multiple designations and certifications including At Home With Diversity, Military Relocation Professional, and Accredited Buyer’s Agent to name a few. I am a giver by nature and believe in giving back as much as possible, therefore it’s only fitting that I be the co-chair of the Community Service Committee at the Frederick County Association of Realtors. I discovered that fellow agents were comfortable asking me for help, and in turn, I loved providing it.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my husband, photography, spending time with my enormous family, chauffeuring my children around, playing with the dogs, and watching anything that makes me laugh. With my husband being English, I frequently entertain him with my English accent, and if you pull up next to me at a stoplight, you might just get serenaded with a show tune (Hamilton is the current favorite). I feel I have the gift of making life lighter and can make the home buying or selling process a joy!!
