From my initial interview with Shannon, I knew she was the right person to represent my interests as a buyer, and time proved I was spot on. She has a warm, relaxed, and friendly personality, and I was very comfortable engaging with her on a wide variety of topics during the search for my new home. She was always very respectful, honest, attentive to my desires in terms of features I was looking for in my new home, consistently responsive in a timely manner, and professional giving me good advice throughout the home buying process. She was very knowledgeable about the local area I was interested in (Venice, North Port, etc.), and proactively sent me information on multiple homes that would be of possible interest to me. When touring various homes on the market, Shannon was very balanced in pointing out the pros and cons of each property based on their condition and functionality, while also noting their relative alignment with the features I was looking for in my new home. Particularly noteworthy to me were Shannon’s communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills as she handled multiple difficult issues that surfaced after Hurricane Ian damaged the property I had contracted to buy, but had not yet closed on. Shannon patiently, calmly, and professionally worked each difficult issue with the Sellers’ agent until all the issues related to hurricane damages were ultimately resolved to my satisfaction by ensuring the property would be restored to pre-hurricane Ian condition by the Sellers. Her skills and mettle were surely tested “under fire” in very difficult circumstances, and she proved herself to be a consummate professional indeed. In summary, I would highly recommend Shannon Hansbury to anyone seeking a real estate agent to represent their interests as either a Buyer’s or Seller’s Agent. She was simply wonderful to work with during my home search, and she earned my respect and admiration - not only as my agent, but also as a valued new friend.
