Before entering the Real Estate world, Shannon spent more than two decades in the hospitality industry. This is where she honed her superior customer service skills. From fine dining to sports bars to the best in the hotel industry, Marriott International, Shannon has the ability to make anyone from any background feel comfortable and welcome. She has served former governors to coal miners, from NBA and NCAA champions, stars and first round draft picks, to local little league teams, from CEO's of international companies to the local contractor. All were met with the same treatment and level of service.
Her next step was to work in food and beverage but from a different angle. She went to work for Cobb County Environmental Health as a health inspector for thirteen years. In this role, she gained an unmatched eye for detail which seamlessly transfers to real estate, looking at homes with an inspector's perspective, allowing her to give her client's a huge advantage. Also, the focus in the county office on paperwork was intense. Every I dotted and every T crossed. While this was annoying at the time, it has given Shannon patience and great understanding in the importance of not only understanding the contracts she writes for her clients but incredible competence in representing them in perhaps the largest purchase of their lives.
Shannon has lived in Kennesaw GA since 2005 with her two sons, Chance, also a real estate agent, and her younger son Max, a senior in high school, and her two Dachshunds Molly and Maclan. Shannon grew up on a cattle farm in Somerset Kentucky with her parents and was incredibly fortunate to have her grandparents live right next door. Shannon attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Prior to moving to Georgia, she lived in Hilton Head SC. Her two sons were born here. They left when her ex husband's job with Marriott brought them to the Atlanta area.
