Sebastien is the best Real Estate agent in the Bay Area. Before meeting Sebastien I had worked with a couple of other agents and I never felt like they had my best interest mind. Very early on, I told Sebastien what my needs were and I never felt pressured to see anything that didn’t at the very least meet my bare minimum needs. Other agents try to convince you to like a place simple because they want to make a sale happen. Sebastien will not even recommend a place UNLESS you actually love it and it meets your needs. I’m a first time buyer, and he explained everything in a very easy way to understand so that the buying process was easy and not confusing or intimidating. He also explained diff types of purchases such as how auctions work and other non traditional buying processes. I can’t recommend him enough and have already verbally recommended him to my family that is also looking to buy. We were new to the area from Canada. He reminded us that flood insurance is mandatory for certain areas in the city we are interested in, and also told us the estimated cost for the flood insurance. It’s expensive considering it is annual. He also pointed out the discount points of a mortgage to our attention after seeing both of our mortgage pre-approvals. It turned out that the meaning of discount point is completely different between US and Canada. That alone saved us 30k plus. Sebastien always guards our information as per our request. While placing our offer for a house asking for 1.5 million, Sebastien suggested to start at 1.52 for the initial offer and we agreed. We told him that there were still some room and we thought even 1.55 is fair for this house. The seller countered all offers at 1.53. It indicated that Sebastien didn’t even hint the seller agent about our bottom line. We withdrew from the second round of offer due to personal issues. The house was finally sold at 1.54 million. We submitted 3 different offers. Sebastien would briefly go over the process with us afterwards each time. After the house is pending, he usually knows the final sale price right away. As a result, for all transactions, we were all spot on estimating the final sale prices. We backed up at the last step for the previous offers due to some issues we just couldn’t get over with. What he said to us is that if we wanted to get that house we could have got it. But most important thing is to get a house you will not regret. His positive attitude was quite encouraging and comforting. We finally purchased a house we like with his help. Sebastien provided excellent after services. We ran into gas auto-shut off valve issue after we moved in. He came over twice. The first time occurred around 9pm on a Saturday. When problem was not solved, he arranged the plumber coming on Sunday to fix it and he came as well. He even checked in again the next day to make sure this issue got resolved.
