Russel is a fantastic agent helped us buy our new home. If I could give 10 stars, I would. He is *definitely* not your typical (and very experienced) RE agent. He also has extensive experience and knowledge from renovating homes. So even if you are, like most people, not looking for a house that you need or want to do work on, you want an agent like Russel to help you. All houses will have things that, to the untrained eye, will be a cause for some concern. Does your agent have enough experience and knowledge from dealing with such problems to give you a reasonable opinion on something that might be a concern? Russell has seen a lot, and he can often tell you whether something likely (but not certain) to be no big deal, or whether if it's potentially more serious. (Note: he's not a licensed contractor or home inspector, but you will get a lot of information about the house that most potential buyers won't get until they hire a home inspector.) Will your agent crawl into that grimy crawlspace to find out the age of the water heater and furnace, and look for obvious signs of plumbing issues? And go into the attic to look for obvious structural issues? Walk the foundation to check for potential settling issues and draining problems? Russel, with his trained eye, will. Russel is also the nicest guy you will meet, as well as prompt and courteous, and we felt confident that he had our best interest foremost in all he did for us. Look, the agent you use will get paid *exactly* the same commission from the transaction as any other agent would, whether you engaged the very best or have engaged a "one-and-done" newbie. So why not sign on with the one that will give you the most in return for the commission they will earn? You won't regret working with Russel.
