About Roy

Hi, I grew up in Oceanside, CA and attended college in Oregon. After college, I joined the Navy and went to Pensacola, FL to start flight training. Following the training, I was assigned to Patrol Squadron 26 home based at the Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine. While there, I made five six-month deployments to Iceland, all over the Mediterranean, North Atlantic and Caribbean. We were flying the Lockheed P-3B Orion and it was a blast. After leaving the active-duty Navy, I flew Boeing 727's for Continental Airlines based in Los Angeles. At the same time, I joined a Naval Reserve P-3 squadron based in Pt. Mugu, CA and continued my Naval career as a Reservist. Simultaneously, I studied for and received my California real estate license since I had always found the transaction process very interesting, and still do. I'm happily married to my terrific wife Barbara. Between us, we have four children that all adults now and four young grandchildren that keep life fun. We live in Ocean Beach and when I have some free time, I'm either learning Spanish or playing golf. Thanks for reading this.

Great experience as first time home vs buyers!

As first time home buyers Roy has been very helpful. He walked us through the whole process and took the time to explain everything. He was very patient with us and we didn’t feel rushed once. Roy has been doing this for a while now and is very knowledgeable with the different neighborhoods which only increases your chance to find a good match. We highly recommend his services and will use them again in the future if required!

best combination of experience and service

We purchased our condo with Roy in 2019, we were new to the market and to purchasing real estate. Roy took the time to explain the process to us in detail and helped us understand all the potential pitfalls. As we went through the process of finding our home, Roy patiently helped us understand pros and cons of the (very many) different homes we visited. When we settled on our ideal home, Roy helped us seal the deal at a good price and sail through the escrow effortlessly, chasing the right partners for financing and inspection. I cannot imagine working with anybody else but Roy in the future an highly recommend working with him to anybody who sets out to buy a home.

Smooth Process

MLS listing was posted on Thursday and a open house, two days later was a success, we had a buyer the first day. Document signing was an easy process. His years of experience, knowledge and thoughtfulness during a usual stressful process, along with his staff, made this transaction a pleasure.

Overcame Challenges

We put our house on the market just as interest rates started to raise. The house fell out of escrow three times but Roy never lost sight of the sale. He worked extremely hard on the final closing deal, unknown to us, to make sure the deal did not fall out of escrow for a fourth time. His persistent drive made sure we closed and got the best price.
