Roy helped us find a great home during a difficult time in the market to be a buyer. He was honest about the value of homes and would never encourage us to over-pay for a home, but instead discussed the quality of the home and likely appraisal value. Roy knows the positives and negatives to look for in houses in this area and is honest with you about the state of a house. His advice helped us make decisions that fit our budget, while understanding the market landscape enough to still provide competitive enough offers to secure a home. Roy is incredibly prompt in responding to texts and emails and helped keep everything on track as we approached closing day. He has great suggestions for any local services you may need for your new home, from fencing to electricians and anything in between. We cannot recommend Roy enough!

Roy was fabulous! We were buying our home long distance, and he was always available for us via phone and email whenever we had questions or concerns (which was often). He knew everything about the area, and as we are from out of state, we are so appreciative of his knowledge of all things local. Many great recommendations. He also knew his stuff re: what we needed to do for buying & closing and even accompanied us to the closing on a snowy and icy day when no one was out! He was fun to talk to and even gave us gifts upon closing (a beautiful picture created by his artist wife and a candle--also made by his wife--that is the coolest candle I now own, and I have dozens). He's great: easy to talk to and work with and clearly an experienced realtor. We can't say enough good about him. This should be the last home we ever own, but IF we ever home shopped again, he'd be our guy!

Buying our first home was a pretty stressful and intimidating process, but we were really lucky that Roy had our backs the entire time. We were in the middle of a situation where we needed to find someplace quickly so we'd have a place to live, but also really wanting to find someplace that we really liked. That isn't easy, especially during an economic period that doesn't really favor the buyer. Roy was really on it about finding every potential home that fit our needs and making sure that we had a chance to see them and make a bid if we wanted. Roy is the best realtor that we have worked with for our first time home buyer. Roy was very patient with us and we never felt rush into purchasing. He gave us a lot of good advice on the market and he was very accurate on his assessment of home value. Roy was also very active when we are checking our different house, he never hesitate to enter crawl space with us. Roy is also very detailed oriented and pointed out to us many concern on property that we missed when we were too excited about the place. Roy is absolutely wonderful. We had a very fixed idea of what we wanted and it took forever to find it, but Roy has the patience of a saint and had it not been for him we'd have probably given up. Colleagues of ours recommended Roy, and I truly don't think we could have had a better experience--especially as first time home-buyers! Roy used each time we spent viewing houses as an opportunity to teach us about all sorts of things: how to look for water and structural damage, what different types of wires indicate, how certain issues could be remedied, etc. He knows a lot a lot about houses. He also knows a great deal about the area at present and historically. We felt as well prepared as we could be entering into a somewhat tempestuous market, and we ended up purchasing a lovely home in short order! It was an all around great experience.

Roy is a very likeable realtor. He doesn't pressure you to buy, and he doesn't let you go in to anything blind. You know the full picture when you make an offer. From that point he makes the process seamless, coordinating all that you need to get to closing. You can really trust he has your best interests in mind, and everything will be taken care of. Many of my friends have had nightmare experiences buying in the current COVID market with other realtors. We were lucky to have Roy, he truly made it all go easy. I would recommend him to anyone buying in the Staunton area. He is great.

Roy Schneider is the realtor you hope your kids have. He is educational, realistic, and responsive. He is beyond kind - and he accommodated our every request to the best anyone could. He regarded us as his own and navigated some tricky situations with our specific purchase. His local knowledge is excellent and he proved repeatedly that if he didn’t know- he would find out. I LOVE THIS REALTOR! The first house I bought, in Staunton, was in July of 2019. This was a buyers market and with Roy's guidance, we found the perfect house, in an awesome neighborhood. We negotiated, we settled and we closed. It could not have gone more smoothly. A year later and I decide I want to invest in another house in Staunton. It's November 2020 and now it's a sellers market and very little inventory. Totally different from my first house but I knew Roy was up for the challenge. I found the coolest house on Zillow. It had just been listed and the first thing I did was call Roy. He decided we needed to have a totally different game plan, if I wanted to own this house. After deciding on a competitive price and few other conditions, to sweeten the deal, we had our proposal ready and submitted that day. That very next day, I get a call from Roy, informing me , they excepted our offer. I find out later, 9 other offers were put on the house, but ours prevailed. If you are looking for real-estate in the Staunton area now, you know how frustrating it is. Do yourself a favor and call Roy. I can not say enough wonderful things about this man.
