In 1971 my husband and I built the first house we ever owned. We lived there for 51 years however, after my husband passing away, and the children raised and gone, I made the decision to downsize and find a more convenient home for just myself. At 80 years old, I had never sold a home or purchased at home therefore I had no idea where to begin.
